OUR NEXT CLUB MEETING IS ON FEBRUARY 22nd AT 8.00pm AT THE RIVER WYRE HOTEL. ALL SQUADS SHOULD BE REPRESENTED.
Chairmans Report
FA Charter Scheme31/01/10 For the 2nd week in a row, a full set of Youth league fixtures took place despite earlier concern after the overnight snow-fall, with so many fixtures previously having been lost due to the rain and frost, creating a now serious backlog of games. It is hoped no further matches will be postponed because of the weather. We still wait for the changing rooms at Cottam Hall to be repaired and re-opened, after damage caused by burst pipes in the roof space 3 weeks ago, hopefully this work will be completed by Wyre Borough, so we can begin to use the facility again next weekend.

Many thanks to the Gazette for their excellent looking-back feature concerning our football club, printed in the AllStars section of the paper on the 20th January.
.
The leagues have an unenviable job trying to re-arrange fixtures for later in the season, but with the large number of league and cup matches still to be played for all the age groups, along with the likelyhood of more non-footballing weekends, a re-assessment of how we complete the season may have to be made.
We hope our players soon return to doing what they enjoy 'playing football'.

SATURDAY MORNING CLUB

Our club wishes to thank the writer of the complimentary letter published in The Gazette on the 6th October (page 10), it is pleasing to know someone has taken the time to acknowledge the efforts our volunteers make, so that our young players can enjoy their football. We do appreciate the contents of this letter, as we help them to be 'Living the Dream'.

Poulton Youth FC wants all our players, parents and officials to have a very enjoyable season, to play the game in the right spirit and respect the referee and opposition.

Good Luck everyone, let's all hope for a great season for our football club.
